This summer, join us at the Hermitage Museum & Gardens for our 15th Anniversary of Sunsets on the River! Relax on the shoreline and enjoy live concerts from across the musical spectrum, including Alternative Rock, Blues, Country, Yacht Rock, and more!

Craft beer, wine & a variety of non-alcoholic drinks
Eats and treats from a variety of regional food trucks
Admission to the contemporary art exhibition, Burden of the Beast

From new trailheads and native plantings to art installations and increased accessibility, the trail is transforming thanks to passionate supporters.

The Elizabeth River Trail Foundation plans, programs, and advocates for the Elizabeth River Trail to connect Naval Station Norfolk to the Virginia Beach Trail. Our vision is to be a global model of waterfront trail resilience and education that supports connected communities, inclusive infrastructure, and economic development as part of a regional trail system.

Through grants, sponsors, and donors, the ERT Foundation raises private funds to grow and enhance a public amenity with something for everyone!

The Thorn tells the epic story of God’s love for the world and the spiritual battle for all humanity. The story of Christ is presented in an immersive show with live music, drama, aerial acts, movement arts, modern dance, and special effects. Witnessed live by more than 1 million people over 25 years, The Thorn will engage audiences in the definitive story of love, sacrifice and redemption like never before.

Meet staff in the WOW Children’s Garden to learn about frog lifecycles, species, and calls before going on an exclusive, after-hours sunset tour of the Garden! Recommended for children ages 3+ with caregiver participation. All attending adults and children are required to have registered tickets.

Moderate walking required – program includes an approximately 1 mile walk through the Garden.

Price for NBG Members: $12/child and $5/adult.

Price for Not-yet Members: $20/child and $16/adult (tickets for class must be purchased for both children and adults and includes daytime admission to NBG).

All participating children ages 3-17 and attending adults must have a paid, pre-registered ticket for the program. If children 2 and under are participating in the program, they must have a registered child ticket.

Note About Drop-Offs: Due to the nature of this after-hours event, drop-offs will not be permitted.

$15/Girl Scout and $10/Adult Chaperone.

Garden Member Discounts: NBG Members are required to register all Scout and adult chaperones attending the event. There is no discount for Scout tickets. NBG Member Adults receive complimentary entry with a registered Girl Scout and are asked to register their free chaperone tickets for head count purposes.

Not-Yet-Members are required to purchase tickets for all attending Scouts and adult chaperones. Scout Leaders who are not members of the Garden are required to purchase adult tickets.
