“Sapphic Sounds is a Pride celebration of love, identity, and community for women who love women — including lesbians, bisexual women, trans women, pansexual women, queer women, and nonbinary sapphics. The term “sapphic” comes from the ancient Greek poet Sappho, whose words about love between women continue to inspire LGBTQ+ culture today.

In Hampton Roads, sapphic-centered spaces are few and far between — but the need is loud and clear. That’s why LGBT Life Center is proud to host events that uplift and celebrate this powerful, passionate community.
Every event in our Sapphic Series has shown us just how vital these gatherings are — and June 28th will be no different. This is more than a party — it’s visibility, it’s connection, it’s celebration.”
