Revolver Presents: Thornhill: The Mercia Tour

May 14 2026

Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and show starts at 7:00 p.m.
The NorVa 317 Monticello Ave, Norfolk, VA 23510 Price: Price may vary

Close your eyes and hear any of its songs, and Thornhill’s epic sophomore full-length will transport its listener’s
imagination to scenes of classic Hollywood.
Riding a creative wave driven by an affection for the glam and charm of this style, Thornhill’s Jacob Charlton
(vocals/lyrics) and Ethan McCann (guitar/production) birthed Heroine – a vivid anthology of stories set to a
dynamic, cinema-inspired score.
“Arkangel’ was the first song to really get the writing process rolling,” shares Ethan of his mid-lockdown creative
drought. “Once I had the intro, first verse and the chorus down I noticed all these parts created a certain mood
and set of visuals in my imagination…. it was reminding me of the Buffy intro credits with that super late '90s,
cheesy, glossy film look.
“I ended up laying the demo I had on top of a video of the credits and I found pairing it with those visuals really
helped me develop the song because I could treat it almost like writing a film score.”
What began as an experimental way to crack ‘Arkangel’ soon sparked a creative avalanche for Ethan, who –
suddenly speaking the same language as the already-cinema obsessed Jacob – began treating every track in a way
he’d never considered before: as though he was writing for film. From there, Heroine was born.
Listeners will no doubt hear the moody and anthemic ‘Varsity Hearts’ and picture scenes from She’s All That, and
be transported into the world of James Bond amid the spy-like breakdowns of ‘Casanova’. Elsewhere, the album
references the sounds and styles of some of Hollywood’s most classic titles like Singing In The Rain, American
Beauty and Baz Luhrmann’s epic Romeo & Juliet.
Enamoured with storytelling and screenplay, Jacob honed his love of penning lyrics as if mini movies throughout
the writing process. Led by the direction Ethan’s production took his imagination, he crafted Heroine’s lyrics to
match the energy of the music.
“[The lyrics] are my version of the story these scores could be set to,” he explains. “They’re my interpretations of
how I would write the screenplay, direct and shoot it alongside the vibe of the track… I was just writing along the
lines of how I feel and what I see, hear and imagine.”

unfdcentral.com

“I really wanted to touch on sadness in a way that [listeners] haven't heard it in our genre…it's not sad, but it's
melancholy in a very intimate way,” he adds of the album’s stories spanning themes like love, lust, self-reflection,
and self-loathing.
Propped up against their acclaimed 2019 debut album The Dark Pool, there’s a profound new sense of clarity,
vision and intention to be heard on Heroine. Where The Dark Pool touched fans with its mix of crushing riffage
and atmospheric metalcore, this record finds Thornhill flexing their skills in the alternative and rock worlds,
referencing a tapestry of sounds from the likes of Smashing Pumpkins and Red Hot Chili Peppers, to Silverchair
and Deftones. At the same time harking to flavours of modern metalcore, Thornhill ultimately want to showcase
what can be made of heavy and rock music when there are no borders. Heroine does just this, and comes
complete with elevated visuals and theatrics to match.
Jacob shares that part of his growth during the album’s creation was finally nailing his own character and style as
a vocalist and frontman – much like his performance idols such as Elvis, Justin Timberlake and Gwen Stefani
pioneered in their own ways.
“I realised you're not just singing your lyrics, you're emoting. You’re conveying a message or a feeling not only
through vocals, but through performance,” he muses. “Ethan really brought that vibe to the instrumentation, and
I was left thinking, "Oh, I can't just sing or scream over this…. what can I do to match that energy he's presented
here, but in a way that people haven't heard it in a metal setting?” I realised I needed my own character. I needed
to bring that Elvis-y confidence and emotion to my performance to really be able to bring people into the world of
what I’m singing about.”
Drawn to the class and flare of those whole package-type artists and performers, Heroine finds Jacob channeling
elements of his masculinity, his femininity, his vulnerability, and his extravagance into every aspect of his
performance and aesthetic.
Sealed with the cohesive dynamic of the full band channeling their own characters, all together Heroine is a
stunning listening and visual experience. This is Thornhill levelling up on the astounding success of The Dark Pool
and ultimately proving their vision and creativity stretches well beyond the small walls of metalcore. Like the films
that inspired it, Heroine is poised to go down as a tasteful, classic piece of art, enjoying repeat-listen after repeat-
listen for years to come.

Silversun Pickups at The NorVa

May 2 2026

Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and show starts at 7:00 p.m.
The NorVa 317 Monticello Ave, Norfolk, VA 23510 Price: Price may vary
Silversun Pickups’ sixth album Physical Thrills came together as a serendipitous accident during a dark time. The LA band began 2020 by touring in support of their record released the previous year, Widow’s Weeds. But the pandemic halted those plans, with the members including guitarist and singer Brian Aubert, bassist Nikki Monninger, drummer Christopher Guanlao, and keyboardist Joe Lester, finding themselves stuck at home. In that resting period, Aubert wasn’t focused on Silversun Pickups; instead, he channeled his energy into taking care of his son, Nico, while his wife Tracy worked.
But as much as his focus initially shifted from the band, he couldn’t escape the new melodies germinating in his head. “I would sneak off and start writing these songs, and I didn’t know what they’re for because I didn’t really think about Silversun on any level. I was just doing it to keep myself calm and keep myself company,” says Aubert. The songs were so different from what he’d previously written for Silversun Pickups that he initially thought he was writing a musical. There were “dream shanties,” gentler vocals, horror-inspired sounds, and other exciting new elements coming to mind.
The band finally was able to gather in person for a live-streamed acoustic performance on Halloween for The Dark Zone Network’s virtual music festival Queen Mary, and it was there that Aubert revealed the new material to his bandmates. They readily embraced the new direction—and so did producer Butch Vig. The band reunited with Vig, who first worked with Silversun Pickups on Widow’s Weeds, recording the record at the famed producer and Garbage member’s home.
When Aubert first reached out to Vig, he wasn’t sure if the band was making an EP or a full record; Widow’s Weeds was still fresh for Silversun Pickups. But once Aubert made plans to visit Vig and play him what he had, the music began pouring out. He immediately began recording with Vig, later having the rest of the band join.
Once the band began working on Physical Thrills together, they made some of Silversun Pickups’ most stunning songs yet. The record doesn’t depart drastically from the sound the band’s fans know and love, but rather enhances it with previously-unexplored fixtures at play.
Physical Thrills was colored by the pandemic, but isn’t meant to be solemn; instead, Aubert explores his own comfort in the temporary, newfound isolation. There’s a juxtaposition of playfulness with angst from having so much time to process untapped emotions. That’s something that comes through in the album’s instrumentation, too, with wide-ranging sounds that transform according to the weight of the lyrics.
There are tracks with shoegaze-infused distorted synths and guitar, like opener “Stillness (Way Beyond)”; bouncy, pop-tinged danceable tunes (“Empty Nest,” “Hereafter (Way After)”); pared-down ballads (“Alone On A Hill”); and a collection of “dream shanties,” as Aubert refers to them.
The titles of those shanties call back to “Dream At Tempo 119” off the band’s 2006 debut record, Carnavas, tying the band’s beginnings with the current, evolved iteration of Silversun Pickups. But, this time, the instrumentation matches the lyrics. Aubert forgoes the heavy guitars to instead create magical lullabies: “Dream At Tempo 050,” “Dream At Tempo 310,” and “Dream At Tempo 150.” Each carries a secret code in the title with numbers personal to Aubert.
With such an exploratory record, the band members felt free to traverse new ground. Guanlao, who usually shies away from fills on drums, took inspiration from The Beatles documentary Get Back, throwing some into Physical Thrills, influenced by Ringo Starr’s work on Let It Be. Whereas for Monninger, this record allowed her to showcase her vocals at the forefront more than in previous work. Joe also took a larger role in composition on this record, writing the piano part for “We Won’t Come Out,” which became the backbone for the song.
The making of Physical Thrills also allowed for whimsical moments, including Aubert creating a distinct tapping noise by incorporating the sound of drumsticks hitting Vig’s Grammy in “Hidden Moon,” and playfully pelting balloons at Monninger while she played “Hereafter (Way After)” on bass to create less tension.
While this record features such an eclectic mix of melodies, each song is interconnected with each other, meant to be experienced as a whole body of work. “All of our records are designed for people who want to listen to them all the way through and hopefully stick around with it,” says Aubert. “After a while, maybe you’ll catch on to the little things—not just the [pattern of] the dream songs, but maybe you’ll hear that, and you’ll hear a melody from the first song in the last song. There are crossover things happening.”
Lester says, “Physical Thrills is exactly the record that we wanted to make, which I’m really stoked about because sometimes you look back and think, ‘Well, that’s maybe not exactly how we would have done it’ when you go back and listen to it years later.’ But I feel really proud of this one. I think the songs that Nikki sings on are like the best ones we’ve done for her to sing on. The lyrics are better than they’ve ever been.”
Monninger adds, “We’ve been together for twenty-two years; it’s really interesting that we still love doing this. We know that we’re fortunate to still be together after all these years, seeking out the silver lining. I feel like we still have many more things to say, and we’re so happy with how this album turned out.”

I DONT KNOW HOW BUT THEY FOUND ME (iDKHOW) is the professional moniker of singer/songwriter Dallon Weekes. Formerly a contributing creative member and bassist for Panic! at the Disco, he also fronted Salt Lake City cult favorite indie band The Brobecks, where he honed his signature blend of retro-inspired alt rock and witty, introspective lyricism. As a multi-instrumentalist and producer, Weekes draws from a variety of influences, blending elements of 70s new wave, glam, 90s Brit-pop, and indie garage rock into his music. iDKHOW formed secretly and quickly gained a cult following despite Weekes spending its first year denying the project even existed. With his theatrical aesthetics, infectiously sharp songwriting and charismatic stage presence, iDKHOW has earned not only a Certified Gold Record with the independently produced “Choke”and a #1 Alternative single with “Leave Me A lone,” but has also received critical acclaim, as well as commercial success solidifying Weekes’ place in the alternative zeitgeist.

Black Label Society at The NorVa

April 7 2026

BLACK LABEL SOCIETY Zakk Wylde – Vocals/Guitar John DeServio – Bass Dario Lorina – Guitar Jeff Fabb – Drums

Black Label Society bandleader Zakk Wylde wields his guitar like a Viking weapon, bashing out thick riffage and squeezing out expressive squeals as if the glory of his Berserker brotherhood depends upon every single note, which of course, it does. Charismatic beast and consummate showman, Wylde puts his massive heart and earnest soul on display with unbridled, unchained, animalistic passion in Black Label Society, whether it’s a crushingly heavy blues-rock barnstormer or a piano-driven ode to a fallen brother. Each Black Label Society album is another opportunity to top the one before it, but like AC/DC or The Rolling Stones, BLS isn’t here to reinvent the wheel. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. It’s a brand we ca While members of esteemed rock and metal institutions like Alice In Chains, Metallica, Type O Negative, Clutch, Danzig, and Megadeth have passed through the band’s ranks, Black Label Society has consistently been defined by Wylde’s unmistakable voice and signature guitar sound and the steady rumble of bassist John DeServio. BLS is rounded out, in the studio and onstage, by guitarist Dario Lorina (since 2013) and powerhouse drummer Jeff Fabb (since 2012). This is as much a band as it is a symbol of strength, honor, commitment, and diehard “society,” as evidenced by the legions of supporters who proudly donned the Black Label Society colors years before motorcycle culture was back in fashion. Black Label Society are vigilant keepers of the hard rock n’ roll flame, protecting its sonic characteristics and vibe while engaging in reverent study of its chief architects. Given that Wylde’s kids’ are named Hayley Rae, Jesse John Michael (named after his Godfather, John Michael “Ozzy” Osbourne), Hendrix Halen, and Sabbath Page, it’s clear that he takes his study of rock n’ roll’s greats very seriously. To many, Wylde is synonymous with pinch harmonics as much as Chuck Berry dreamt up the duck walk. Zakk’s signature Les Paul Bullseye guitar hangs in the Rock N’ Roll Hall of Fame. His infamous leather bellbottoms hang in the Grammy Museum. His handprints are on Hollywood’s Rock Walk of Fame. He’s performed the National Anthem at major sporting events. He wrote the 2013 Major League Baseball theme for ESPN. He even momentarily joined Axl Rose, Slash, and Duff in Guns N’ Roses. He is a playable character in the Guitar Hero games. A lifelong disciple of Black Sabbath and the longest serving guitar-shredder for the Ozzman himself, Wylde co-wrote modern Ozzy Osbourne classics like “No More Tears,” “Mama I’m Coming Home,” “Road to Nowhere,” and “Miracle Man.” Together with Ozzy bassist Blasko and drummer Joey Castillo (ex-Queens Of The Stone Age), Wylde pays faithful tribute to the forefathers of metal as frontman for Zakk Sabbath. Before he graced the cover of every meaningful guitar magazine on the planet, Zakk Wylde was a kid in New Jersey who picked up his instrument before he’d even hit high school. He was still a teenager when he got his demo tape into Ozzy’s hands. Together with the man he affectionately calls “the Boss” (and whose wife and manager, Sharon, he calls “Mom”), Wylde was part of the biggest selling album of the legendary Black Sabbath singer’s solo career, No More Tears, as well as the double-platinum Ozzmosis, and earned a Grammy for the live recording of “I Don’t Want to Change the World.” One part invading horde and all parts traveling carnival party, Black Label Society traverses the world powered by caffeine and cacophony. BLS engages and inspires audiences everywhere they go, on every radio dial they burn, inviting all comers to join in and participate in their brotherhood and sisterhood of hard rock and vigor. Now ten studio albums deep, with solo records, Ozzy shows, and Zakk Sabbath tours all kicking ass simultaneously, Black Label Society rides ever forward, fist held high.

Dexter and the Moonrocks at The NorVa

March 6 2026

Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and show starts at 7:00 p.m.
The NorVa 317 Monticello Ave, Norfolk, VA 23510 Price: Price may vary

Hailing from Abilene, Texas, Dexter and The Moonrocks have carved a unique niche in the music scene with their innovative blend of Southern Alternative, red-dirt country, and alternative rock, creating a genre their fans affectionately call “Western SpaceGrunge.” The band, consisting of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist James Tuffs, lead guitarist and vocal harmonizer Ryan Anderson, bassist Ty Anderson, and drummer and vocal harmonizer Fox, combines influences from a wide range of artists, including Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, and Whiskey Myers, to produce a sound that is both earth-shattering and introspective.

The group’s debut single, “Couch,” released in August 2021, was a significant hit, captivating audiences with its unique sound. This success was followed by their self-titled EP, featuring standout tracks like “Where I Steer” and “Behave,” which received overwhelmingly positive responses. Dexter and The Moonrocks’ music, characterized by its raw energy, storytelling traditions, and a touch of alien influence, resonates with themes of love, loss, and the human experience.

Their most recent singles, “Birds and the Bees” and “Autopilot, furthered the throughline of their unique blend of moody lyrics and explosive musical style that’s become a staple of their artistry. Now, the band looks toward significant growth in 2024, releasing their debut single, “She Likes Girls” partnered with newly launched Severance Records. An official version of a demo that fans adored from 2022, The Moonrocks explore what it feels like to be told you’re not enough, but someone else is. With a storyline about a guy who’s been left by his girlfriend (for another girl), the sentiment of reconciling heartbreak – and the self-destructive tendencies that permeate from it – continue to give fans a playground to find commonality in shared hurt, and the chance to scream at the top of their lungs.

This year, Dexter and The Moonrocks prepare for their launch to success. With an electrifying bank of upcoming music, a dynamic digital presence, and a potent team, these Western Space Grunge rockstars look to continue making new fans and serve them by delivering the modern-day tone of what they’re starving for these days: authentic, relatable music that lets people have a voice to feel seen.

Styles P, a member of The LOX, grew up on the streets of Yonkers, NY, rapping alongside Jadakiss (Jason Phillips) and Sheek Louch. In their late teens the trio met Mary J. Blige who was so impressed with their tough street east coast lyrics, she gave them a big break by putting their demo in the hands of Sean “Diddy” Combs. Diddy immediately hired the trio to write for Bad Boy Records. With the label, The LOX quickly started collaborating on hits with Diddy, the Notorious BIG, Mary J Blige, and Mariah Carey which gave them instant notoriety and status within the hip-hop and mainstream charts.

In 1996 and 1997, the group wrote and performed on a number of Diddy hits, including “It’s All About the Benjamins” and “I Got the Power”, Mase’s “24 Hrs. to Live”, Mariah Carey’s “Honey,” the Notorious B.I.G.’s “Last Day”, and Mary J. Blige’s “Can’t Get You Off My Mind”. In 1997 The LOX received international acclaim when their tribute to the late Biggie Smalls, “We’ll Always Love Big Poppa”, was picked as the B side track off of Diddy’s album (3x Platinum) with the number one hit, “I’ll Be Missing You”. This single was the most played hit in 1997, which opened the door for The LOX first solo album debut in January 1998 entitled Money, Power & Respect (CertifiedGold). Though the album was a chart toping success, The LOX felt the glossy sheen of Bad Boy Records conflicted with their grimier rap aesthetic and therefore cut their ties and moved on to Ruff Ryder Records. After another LOX album, We Are The Streets (2002), Jadakiss was the first to release a solo in 2001 Kiss The Game Goodbye and Styles followed with his own in 2002 A Gangster & A Gentleman, which sold more than 700,000 copies.

Styles continued his solo career with two more critically-acclaimed solo albums: Time is Money and Supa Gangsta (Extraordinary Gentlemen), furthering his reputation as one of the rap game’s most talented lyricists.

In 2011 Styles diversified his talents, signing a book deal with Random House and releasing his first novel Invincible. While maintaining a demanding tour schedule, he also released the soundtrack to the novel as well as Master of Ceremonies and saw the continued success of Juices for Life, his upscale juice bar in the Bronx.

Styles, who has been juicing for the last decade, found that supplementing his diet with juicing brought balance to his fast-paced rapper lifestyle. This vision continues to fuel his success.

Styles continued recording and collaborating in the studio, releasing The World’s Most Hardest MC Project in November 2012 and his newest album, Float, in April 2013.

With a new LOX album in the works Styles P is sure to continuously add heat to one of the year’s most anticipated urban releases. “I’m proud to be operating as an independent where I have total control of my project”.

Whether a part of the triple threat The LOX, or as a solo artist, Styles’ razor sharp slick talk has created a cult-like following by his countless fans within the hip-hop and “gangsta” rap community.

Niko Moon: The American Palm Tour

February 12 2026

Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and show starts at 7:00 p.m.
The NorVa 317 Monticello Avenue Norfolk, VA 23510 Price: Price may vary

When Niko Moon first emerged with his triple-platinum smash “GOOD TIME,” the Texas-born singer/songwriter lit up the country scene with his larger-than-life energy and heartfelt message of radical positivity. On his latest LP AMERICAN PALM, the Nashville-based artist takes that mission to a whole new level and immerses the audience in the idyllic landscape that never fails to lift his spirits: the sun-soaked serenity and mind-blowing splendor of the beach. A top-notch lyricist who got his start as a co-writer for the Zac Brown Band and later penned hits for superstars like Morgan Wallen and Rascal Flatts, Niko matches his feel-good fusion of country and timeless pop with plenty of colorful storytelling, instantly submerging the senses in the blissed-out surroundings of the coast. Made with producer Danny Majic (an L.A.-based producer/songwriter who’s worked with OneRepublic, Flo Rida, Galantis, and more), the result is a seaside getaway in the form of an album—equal parts carefree, contemplative, and wildly life-affirming.

Whether he’s delivering a summer-ready anthem like “BOAT SONG” or a gently swaying country tune like “KING OF THE ISLAND” (a duet with his father, Cris Cowan), Niko imbues every song on AMERICAN PALM with the deep intentionality he’s embraced since “GOOD TIME” (a No. 1 single that served as the title track to his Billboard 200-charting 2021 debut album). Through the years Niko’s sense of purpose has only gotten stronger, leading him to launch the Happy Cowboy Foundation (a nonprofit that supports mental-health initiatives and addiction-recovery programs) and Happy Himalayan (a premium artesian water brand infused with pink Himalayan sea salt).
As his reach continues to expand exponentially, Niko looks forward to taking AMERICAN PALM on the road and interacting up-close with his vast community of fans. “Very few things can unite thousands and thousands of people from all walks of life, but music can,” he says. “It’s an incredibly powerful energy, and as artists we’re able to utilize it for good or for bad. My goal is always to harness that energy to take people in a positive direction, and create an experience where we can all gather and connect and celebrate life together.”
