On Tuesday, December 16, Virginia Stage Company invites you to Jingle and Mingle at the Wells: Ella Fitzgerald Christmas! — a festive evening of live music, great company, and classic holiday vibes inside the beautifully decked halls of the Wells Theatre.
Featuring the captivating voice of Kensie Butler and special guest Scott Wichmann (Fiddler on the Roof, Little Shop of Horrors, Mister Showtime), this one-night-only cabaret channels the warmth, style, and swing of Ella Fitzgerald’s most beloved holiday tunes. Wichmann will lend his signature charm to several holiday favorites, including “I’ve Got My Love to Keep Me Warm.”
The evening will also include a special performance from Norfolk’s Deputy City Manager, LaVoris Pace, who will take the stage with his own rendition of a holiday classic.
From smooth jazz standards to joyful favorites, it’s the perfect soundtrack for your December night out. Enjoy drinks, light bites, and a silent auction, and make it a true downtown celebration. Norfolk’s Ocean View neighborhood will host its annual tree lighting ceremony at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 29, 2025 at the OV Park Pavilion.
STAYIN’ ALIVE offers to their audiences the songs and sights of a full Bee Gees playlist, singing blockbusters such as “Night Fever”, “Jive Talkin’”, “How Deep Is Your Love”, “You Should Be Dancing”, “Nights on Broadway”, and “Stayin’ Alive”. In addition, they perform softer poetic ballads such as “I Started a Joke”, “Massachusetts”, “Fanny Be Tender”, “Words,” and “To Love Somebody” among other great hits.

All aboard! Step into the holiday season with Hampton Roads Transit as we unveil our Winter Wonderland Train on Friday, Nov. 14. The festivities begin at 4 p.m. at MacArthur Square Station in Downtown Norfolk. This family-friendly event features activities for the kids, appearances by some of your favorite characters, a photo station, music and more!
Event is free & open to the public. Registration is not required but is recommended.
Rides on the light rail are always $2 one-way, $4.50 all-day for adults and free for children, with a fare paying adult or a Student Freedom Pass.
You can enjoy the fun all season long as the light rail, along with two HRT buses, will be decorated with this wintry design through Feb. 15! Check out gohrt.com for updates on future Winter Wonderland events.

David Spade became a household favorite during his tenure as a cast member on NBC’s “Saturday Night Live”. Spade has starred in film and television highlights such as JOE DIRT, GROWN UPS, THE WRONG MISSY, “Rules Of Engagement” and “8 Simples Rules”. For his memorable role as Dennis Finch on “Just Shoot Me”, Spade received nominations for a 1999 Emmy Award, Golden Globe, and American Comedy Award. Spade continues to be a box office draw, touring his stand-up shows nationwide. He can be heard co-hosting the hit podcast “Fly on the Wall”, alongside fellow SNL alumni Dana Carvey, and their spin-off pop culture podcast “Superfly”. Currently, Spade is in production on BUSBOYS, a film he co-wrote, is co-producing and co-starring in alongside Theo Von.
