Combining rootsy vibes and unique bass lines united with multiple harmonies, boisterous guitar solos, and heavy keys separates Fortunate Youth from every other mainstream reggae band. With their high energy approach and positive stage presence they provide an unforgettable show to every music fan. Fortunate Youth’s objective is to ensure a performance that leaves you feeling euphoric and curious of what might happen at the next show.

In 2011 they supported Tribal Seeds on their nationwide Tribal Youth Tour to spread their conscious music to the nation. Upon Releasing their full-length album they quickly rose to #2 on the iTunes Reggae Charts and also locked in a #13 position on Billboard Top 100 Reggae Albums. Receiving great praise for early success Fortunate Youth strives to spread their interpretation of Reggae music to Music Lovers worldwide.

Fortunate Youth toured very heavily in 2012 supporting Headliners such as The Expendables and Tribal Seeds. FY also headlined their own Nationwide Summer of Sweet Love Tour proving they can pull their own weight. Making their first international departure, Fortunate Youth played 4 shows in Costa Rica spreading the love of reggae music internationally.

2013 release, “It’s All A Jam”, hit numerous charts including #1 on Billboard Reggae Charts, #10 Billboard Pacific Heatseekers Chart, #23 Billboard National Heatseeker Chart along with #1 on iTunes Reggae Charts and #46 iTunes Overall Charts. FY followed the album release with a 55-Show nationwide Spring Headline Tour seeing great response from the album’s successful release.

Gwar at the NorVa

Every Wednesday
November 22 2025

7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
The NorVa 317 Monticello Avenue Norfolk, VA 23510 Price: Tickets on sale Friday, June 27th, 10:00 a.m.

The story of GWAR is carved across the history of this hopeless planet, but GWARthemselves are not of this world…Their story begins far past Uranus, in the deepest reaches of space, where the beings known as GWAR were warriors in the Scumdogs of the Universe, an elite fighting force in the army of the Master of All Reality. But GWARproved too reckless and powerful, and after a series of tragic but hilarious blunders, they were banished to the furthest reaches of the galaxy, with orders to conquer an insignificant backwater prehistoric mudball known as the planet Earth. Once here, GWAR, the original Ancient Aliens, shaped the face of the globe, wiping out the dinosaurs, and mating with apes to create the human race. Having accidentally given rise to all human history, the Master of All Reality froze them in Antarctic ice where they could do no more harm. It was there they were discovered by a shady entrepreneur known as Sleazy P Martini, who sat the band down in front of professional wrestling, late-night horror movies, heavy metal music, and a steady diet of crack cocaine until GWAR became the cultural force they are today!

Thrice at The NorVa

Every Wednesday
October 28 2025

7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
The NorVa 317 Monticello Avenue Norfolk, VA 23510 Price: Tickets on sale Thursday, June 26th, 11:00 a.m.
Digital tickets will have a TRANSFER DELAY of 1 week prior to the event.
Thrice is a genre-defying rock band from Orange County, California, known for their evolving sound, profound lyrics, and fiercely loyal fanbase. Formed in 1998 by high school friends Dustin Kensrue, Teppei Teranishi, Eddie Breckenridge, and Riley Breckenridge, the band first made waves in the early 2000s with their blend of post-hardcore urgency and melodic sensibility on albums like The Illusion of Safety and The Artist in the Ambulance.
Over the years, Thrice has built a legacy of fearless experimentation, incorporating elements of electronic, ambient, and progressive rock into acclaimed records such as Vheissu, Beggars, and the ambitious four-part Alchemy Index series. After a brief hiatus in 2012, they returned stronger than ever, continuing to challenge expectations and explore new sonic territory. “Black Honey” (2016), a lead single from To Be Everywhere Is to Be Nowhere, marked the band’s return to rock radio charts and reached #11 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock chart and spent 32 weeks on that chart and reached #37 on Hot Rock & Alternative Songs.

Now, more than two decades into their career, Thrice remains a vital force in modern rock. Their recent albums, including Horizons/East and its follow-up Horizons/West, reflect a band that is both rooted in its punk-rock beginnings and unafraid to push boundaries—delivering music that is as thoughtful as it is powerful.

Blues Traveler

Every Wednesday
October 12 2025

7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
The NorVa 317 Monticello Avenue Norfolk, VA 23510 Price: Price may vary

In 1987 the four original members of Blues Traveler—John Popper, Chandler Kinchla, Brendan Hill, and the late Bobby Sheehan—gathered in their drummer’s parent’s basement in Princeton, NJ to jam. From these high school sessions emerged a band that would go on to release 14 studio albums and counting, four of which have gone gold, three platinum, and one six-times platinum- selling more than 10 million combined units worldwide. Over an illustrious career Blues Traveler has played over 2,000 live shows in front of more than 30 million people, and, in “Run-Around,” had the longest-charting radio single in Billboard history, which earned them a Grammy® for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals. Their movie credits include Blues Brothers 2000, Kingpin, Wildflowers and others. A television favorite, they have been featured on Saturday Night Live, Austin City Limits, VH1’s Behind the Music and they have the record for the most appearances of any artist on The Late Show with David Letterman. Blues Traveler’s latest effort, 2021’s Traveler’s Blues, is nominated for a Grammy in the category of “Best Traditional Blues Album,” bringing their 35+ year journey full circle.

Monster Energy Presents: Cash Cobain- Party with Slizzy

Every Wednesday
September 10 2025

7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
The NorVa 317 Monticello Ave, Norfolk, VA 23510 (757) 627-4547 Price: Price may vary

Leading up to his highly-anticipated summer LP Play Cash Cobain, Billboard Rookie of the Month and 2024 XXL Freshman Cash Cobain is a multi-hyphenate rapper and producer known as the originator of “sample drill”, a sound that has transformed the identity of the genre in NYC by introducing 90s R&B, 2000s pop, and even gospel through his impeccable ear for chopping up recognizable samples and placing them over bouncy production. Cobain has been on a landmark “slizzy summer” single run with the Ice Spice-assisted (“Fisherrr” (feat. BaySwag) (40M Streams), who he’s slated to open for on her upcoming Y2K! World Tour, “Grippy” (12M Streams) with J.Cole, and most recently, “Rump Punch” (5M Streams). In June, Cobain secured his Billboard Hot 100 debut with Don Toliver’s new single “Attitude” alongside Charlie Wilson (56M Streams) following a career-minting 2023 year that saw him release his critically-acclaimed debut solo album Pretty Girls Love Slizzy with Giant Music. Previous months also saw Cobain produce Drake’s “Calling For You” (feat. 21 Savage), which debuted at #5 on the Billboard Hot 100, and PinkPantheress’ “Nice To Meet You” (feat. Central Cee), which debuted at #20 on the Billboard Hot 100 (he recently starred alongside her in a nationally-syndicated Apple commercial for the new MacBook), as well as DJ Travis Scott’s Cactus Jack x Audemars Piguet event. Cobain’s reach has spanned well beyond NYC, with his style of reinventing samples crossing the pond to the UK on the production for Central Cee’s 2021 track “Daily Duppy” (50M+ Streams). He’s also received co-signs from international superstars like Lil Uzi Vert & Frank Ocean, who used his song “JHOLIDAY” (5.2M Streams) in a Homer Ad. The success of his breakthrough production placement on B-Lovee’s 2021 hit song “My Everything” (42M+ Streams), on which he flipped a classic Mary J. Blige record, burst open the doors for New York drill to flourish – even inspiring Cardi B to revisit her Bronx roots and participate in the trend on Kay Flock’s “Shake It”. An auteur of the playful sexy drill sound he’s helped to pioneer as well as the Slizzy Movement that he’s now taking to mainstream heights, Cobain has since teased potential collaborations with Frank Ocean, Travis Scott, Lil Yachty and more –– a sure sign of the worldwide stardom soon to come
